A consultancy designed to stay close to the instruction.

IMODIE was founded with a simple idea: that good property consultancy comes from understanding the client as well as the building.

That means taking the time to understand what matters, staying close to the details and being there when decisions need to be made. With fewer layers between advice and delivery, relationships are direct, communication is straightforward and knowledge isn’t lost as instruction progresses.

It’s an approach designed for the immediate requirement, and for the relationships that grow over time.

Director and Chartered Surveyor

Nathan Smith MRICS

Nathan is a Chartered Surveyor with extensive experience across commercial property, gained through a senior role within a leading national consultancy before founding IMODIE.

His career has spanned project delivery and professional consultancy, advising owners, occupiers and investors across complex property matters - from refurbishment and retrofit programmes to technical due diligence, dilapidations and advice supporting acquisitions, disposals and asset management.

That breadth of experience has shaped a practical approach to consultancy: understand the property, understand what matters to the client, and give clear advice that helps them move forward.

Outside of consulting, Nathan is a keen traveller, Formula 1 follower, and family man who founded IMODIE to give clients a more direct, personal way of working.
